The Splendid Poison Frog (Dendrobates speciosus) is a species of poison dart frog. It is endemic to Panama. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montanes.
According to researchers Roberto Ibáñez and César Jaramillo, the species is extinct in its native range in western Panama.[1]
